A detailed study of Bhagavad Gita.

These are verse by verse Bhagavad Gita free sessions conducted online by Hare Krishna Movement, Mumbai, every Wednesday & Saturday from 8:00pm. The sessions are specifically designed for youths who want to understand the teachings of Bhagavad Gita from authorized sources. Every session dives deep into a few verses from the Bhagavad Gita, helping attendees understand the profound wisdom behind them and incorporate the learning, which helps them lead an ideal life.

The Bhagavad Gita urges that human beings must be intelligent to realize the importance of human life and refuse to act like ordinary living beings. They should understand the aim of life under the directions given by the Vedas, the essence of which is found in the Bhagavad Gita. The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most essential Upanishads among the Vedic literatures.

Just as knowing the science of electricity, optics, quantum mechanics, human anatomy, etc. enabled us to surpass many limitations of a human being, similarly by understanding and practically applying the science of consciousness and meditation techniques as explained in the Bhagavad Gita, a person can surpass not just a few but all the limitations of the body and mind. Furthermore, attain a state of pure bliss, even in the domain of his day to day activities. It is stated in Gita Mahatmya that if one properly follows the instructions of Bhagavad Gita, one can be free from all miseries and anxieties, in this life, and one’s next life will be spiritual. Thus all of us need to make an effort to study this great book.

The purpose of Bhagavad Gita is to deliver mankind from the nescience of material existence. The Bhagavad Gita subject entails the comprehension of five basic truths, and anyone studying it will learn in full about the following:

  • Isvara – The Supreme Controller, God.
  • Jivas – The living entities which are being controlled.
  • Prakriti – The cosmic manifestation, the material nature.
  • Kala – The time, the duration of the existence of the whole universe.
  • Karma – The activities of the living entities.

If you are interested in making your life more meaningful or curious to know about the message of the Bhagavad Gita, join us for a session on Wednesday or Saturday at 8:00pm. The entire course is completely free of cost.
